One of our ferrets, Millie, was having trouble with her hind legs, and was losing weight. I took her in and Dr. Foutz assured me that Millie was not in any pain. She gave us some medication, and instructions on scheduling a biopsy of a lump she found, after the antibiotics ran their course. Sadly, Millie refused to eat, and her condition quickly deteriorated. On May 25th, 2018 we made the impossibly hard decision to help our baby girl across the Rainbow Bridge. Even typing this, I’m overcome with grief. However I take comfort in knowing that it was the merciful thing to do. Dr. Foutz was with us ever step of the way, along with a very compassionate Vet Tech whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch. After everything we went through, they showed us the utmost respect, and compassion, and didn’t make the situation harder with unnecessary medical bills. Thank you. Thank you so much for making such a horrible day at least bearable. Millie was loved, and she left this world surrounded by people that made sure she felt that.
