Dr. Byrd has been with Skyview since 2002, and 8 years later he became the practice owner. He is an exceptional leader and sees the best in everyone. He is a great doctor who loves to spend extra time in appointments giving the patients attention while making sure the owner leaves with all their questions answered. He received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Missouri in Columbia. After graduation, he spent time practicing in Tennessee before making Skyview his forever family.

To further his education, Dr. Byrd has achieved his status as a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CCRP) and aids his patients working with Puddle Jumper Canine Rehabilitation.

He is married to his beautiful wife with whom they have three kids. He has two dogs and four cats of his own but loves animals of all kinds. He is one of the two doctors here that will see exotic patients. Dr. Byrd is an amazing boss who makes everyone feel important. He is a workaholic but likes to unwind at the lake when he isn’t caring for patients.

Dr. Foutz has been with Skyview since 1990! She graduated with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from The University of Missouri in Columbia in 1997. She has a contagious smile and loves a good laugh. She is one of the two doctors here that will see exotic patients. During the spring time, she helps nurse wild birds back to health and is good at it too! She loves new puppy visits and is often found playing and giving extra kisses during their visits with us.

When she isn’t working at Skyview, she is spending time with her two kids or practicing Jiu Jitsu, Judo & Taekwondo. She has a black belt in Taekwondo and won the Master Worlds Women Championship in 2018 for Jiu Jitsu!

Dr. LeGrand is a Cape Girardeau native who graduated with her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri Columbia. After practicing at an emergency clinic in Kentucky, she made her way back home to Cape Girardeau and has been practicing with Skyview since 2011. She has the best laugh you will ever hear! Her intelligence and attention to detail are top notch. Her previous experiences and education make her a great doctor. Although she has a mild allergy to cats, she has two of her own at home, including a feisty little dog named Tootsie. At home she has two children, and enjoys, exercising, cooking and hosting parties.

While a new member of our team here at Skyview Dr. Fran is not an unfamiliar face. Dr. Fran was a kennel tech while attending SEMO. She graduated with her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri at Columbia in 2016. When Dr. Fran is not busy at the clinic, she spends her free time wood working and travelling. Dr. Fran has a dog named Cooper, and 3 cats named Iggy, Charles and Pretzel. When asked why Dr. Fran chose to come back to Skyview, she said it was the compassionate team and the amazing clients that made her want to be a doctor at Skyview. We say that its Dr. Frans dedication, empathy, and attentiveness that make her an asset to have!

Chara has been at Skyview since 2001 and we are lucky to call her our Practice Manager. With a Bachelors in Agribusiness from Southeast Missouri State University, she has proven time after time that she is perfect in her position. She is often found in her office but is always eager to jump in and assist the staff when needed. She is a great listener and easy to talk too. She currently lives in Jackson Missouri with her husband, Tom, two pups and two cats. Having education on dog behavior and training, she even runs her own puppy training academy here at Skyview. Outside of working and training, she loves hunting and exercising!

 In 2017, we met Callie when she interned at Skyview while attending Hickey College for her Veterinary Technician license. Once she graduated, we made her a part of the family here at the clinic. She soon became our 3rd Registered Veterinary Technician. She is always ready to help, and we learned very quickly that she has found her calling in the animal field. She is super compassionate and swoons over all the pets that come to see us. She has a soft heart and loves animal rescues. Callie is always ready to go above and beyond for our patients. She currently lives in Cape Girardeau Missouri with her husband, daughter, dog and 2 kitties. When she’s not in the clinic she enjoys spending time with her family and working out in the gym!

Madison has been a smiling face at Skyview since 2011. She is bubbly and energetic, which makes her a great team member. She also has a soft side, which can help calm nervous dogs and make our cat patients feel at home. She is currently attending Southeast Missouri State University to earn her degree in Anthropology and Archeology. She claims to be a dog person but has a way with cats and even offers to bottle feed kittens whenever needed. Outside of work, she is usually working as a waitress or hanging out with friends.

Brandi is originally from Burnet, TX but has lived in San Diego, California for the last 5 years; while her husband was in the Marines. She joined the Skyview family at the beginning of 2023 but, has been a veterinary technician since 2017. She loves the fast-paced environment of being a technician and the variety of tasks that must be performed with each patient. She enjoys making a positive difference in the lives owners. Outside of work, Brandi enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and learning how to garden. She currently lives in Sedgewickville, Mo with her husband Danny, daughter Stevie, and their dog Alex.

Guess whose back, back again, that’s right its Tori! Since we saw Tori last, she has graduated from SEMO with a degree in Agribusiness. And she has also added a sweet baby boy, Emmett, to her family. When she isn’t spending her free time with Emmett and Brandon, she keeps herself busy training her dogs. Tori has 3 of her own Otter, Oaklee, and Chesney so she must know what she is doing!

Alexis is from Cape Girardeau born and raised, she is attending SEMO and earning her degree in Fine Arts. She is a kennel assistant that enjoys snuggling all the adoption kittens that come in and making all the animals as comfortable as possible. When you come in and see that amazing artwork on our chalkboard, she is the artist behind that work. She has two rescue cats, but her dog Heidi is her favorite. When she is not working you can catch her spending quality time with her family, pets, and friends, watching Marvel and Harry Potter movies or working on her latest art project.

Harley joined the Skyview family in 2021 as a kennel attendant. She is a freshman at SEMO in the Pre-Vet Program and is majoring in agribusiness/ animal science. Harley also has 3 dogs Sadie, Murphy and Ruby; and 2 cats named Pumbaa and Angel. When Harley is not working or studying for school, she is hanging out on the farm taking care of her goats! We love having Harley’s quiet and quirky personality in the clinic. Lastly a fun fact she is Lindsey’s younger sister!

We are fortunate enough to have another very tall technician to join our team here at Skyview. Noah joined our team in 2023 and has been a wonderful asset. This guy knows how to stay busy, not only does he work here, but Noah also attends SEMO and on the weekends he manages his brothers restaurant, Whiffle Boys Pizza. His favorite activities include duck hunting, playing basketball and attending church activities.

Pierce is the super friendly guy you will see strolling our hallways. He helps keep the clinic clean and takes care of boarded pets. He has the best memory and loves making small talk. Halloween is his favorite holiday because he loves dressing up. He has blessed us with his jokes since 2008 and is amazing at numbers and memorization. Outside of work he loves therapy horseback riding, volunteering, bowling and golfing. He is a familiar face for our clients because he is always greeting clients and admiring their pets.

Emily joined the Skyview team in 2022. She works as a kennel attendant and is passionate in her love and care for all animals. She loves to read and write, which is something she did a lot of while obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree at SEMO. Emily has over 3 years of experience working with dogs of all breeds, temperaments, and personalities! We are so happy to get to add her as part of our TEAM!
